In this second edition we concentrate on clearly and thoroughly laying out the
foundations, rationale, and methods for a new psychotherapy strategy we call theistic
psychotherapy. We invite mental health professionals who believe in God and
spiritual realities to join with us in bringing this therapeutic tradition into the
professional and academic mainstreams. In this edition we also provide an extensive
update of the burgeoning empirical and clinical literature on spiritually oriented
psychotherapies and treatment methods. We expand our discussions of the
philosophical and theoretical foundations of our theistic spiritual strategy.
